Getting Involved

Not everyone wants to get involved in the same way. On this page are a few different options for get involved in The Center at Medfield and with the elders of our community. For example:

Buy-a-Brick

In conjunction with the Council on Aging, FOSI (Friends Of Seniors, Incorporated) is continuing the "Buy a Brick" Fund Drive. The funds raised are helping to furnish the recently completed Adult Community Center - The Center at Medfield. The laser engraved brick with your personal message will be part of the patio area located at the right of the new center. The single brick cost is $100.00 and is 100% tax deductible. A double brick is also available for $250.00 and both bricks can be engraved per your instructions.You can download a Brick order form depending on your computer browser using the following links.

Buy-a-Bear

Information for donating to FOSI through the Buy-a-Bear program will be available shortly. If you would like to place an order sooner, please contact FOSI at fosi359@earthlink.net .

Volunteer Your Time

Contact FOSI to find out how you can put your time and skills to work in helping out Medfield's seniors and yourself! Not only will the elders of our community really appreciate your efforts, but you will experience the satisfaction that volunteering for a worthwhile cause can bring.

Register for an Upcoming Event

Call 508-359-3665 or visit The Center to register for activities that interest you. If cost is a concern, please speak to Roberta Lynch (strictly confidentially) about alternative arrangements.

Along with the Buy-A-Brick and Buy-A-Bear programs, we have many ways that individuals and organizations may contribute to FOSI. Because we are a charitable organization, contributions are tax deductible. Please contact us about ways that you might like to help. For a list of contributors, please go to Contributors

FOSI Wish List
The generosity of Medfield's supporters of FOSI has allowed us to contribute over $16,000 to help the Medfield Council on Aging furnish and make purchases for the new Center. This is a direct savings to Medfield's taxpayers.

FOSI is now in the process of looking at two major needs that are a big step beyond our immediate financial ability:
1. Furnishing a Health Room to allow a more professional approach in the COA's continuing efforts to offer seniors more awareness of their health needs. Estimated cost is approximately $5000.
2. Purchasing a substantial-sized prefab storage building to accommodate the growing amount of seasonal equipment, including voting booths and outdoor furnishings. Estimated cost is approximately $5000.

We have been looking for grant monies so far without success.
