Arts and Crafts
Fit to Knit - Every Wednesday at 2pm. This class is free and open to all community
adults.
Quilting - Have you ever admired an heirloom quilt, or a quilt on display on someone's wall? Are you
interested in learning the craft? Would you like to create a beautiful quilt, to have or give as a gift? Every Monday at 9:30am,
expert quilter Joan Fellini will help you begin. Stop in, plan out your quilt and then let it fall into place. A recent beginner
quilter Helen Reinhard states, "I never quilted before, so at 80, I wanted to do something new and personally satisfying
and I found that at the Center under the instruction of Joan. I am now working on my third quilt; an Irish Chain pattern".
Woodcarving - Thursdays at 9:00am, experienced and detailed carver Lou Fellini is available to show you how
to begin. The group of both men and women exchange ideas and thoughts (not only about carving). Instruction is free and if
you start now, you will have a carving done before the holidays! Call the COA to let us know you are planning to attend, so
your block of wood is waiting.

Yoga - Certified Yoga instructor Susan Dahl delivers
a relaxing and body stretching workout on Tuesdays at 10:00am for those inclined to do Mat Yoga, and at 10:45am for folks
who are interested in seated chair yoga exercises. This is another class offered through the COA at no cost. Community members
are encouraged to drop in and try a class.
Tai Chi/Chi Gong - Fridays at 10am. The Medfield Council
on Aging is offering a great program using slow, flowing low impact movements; it is a weight bearing exercise program to
improve bone density without placing unnecessary stress on your joints. Both Tai Chi and Chi Gong are practiced regularly
by the older population in China to increase and enjoy longevity. This class can be done by virtually everyone. Benefits include
increasing circulation, flexibility in joints, ligaments and tendons, strength in muscles, focus, concentration and balance.
The class is taught by Jeanne M. Donnelly, Personal Trainer and Instructor of Tai Chi, Chi Gong, Yoga and Tae Kwon Do. Class
is held on Friday mornings at 10:00am, open to community members 50+ years, and costs $5 per class.
